R22 Phased Out under the Montreal Protocol

If your system is over 5 years old there is a 50% chance that it uses R22.

If your system is10 years old there is an 85% chance that it uses R22.

The manufacture of this refrigerant, which has been proved to be ozone depletive, will cease at the end of 2009 and only recovered and recycled refrigerant will be available. From 2015, its use will be prohibited altogether.

Costs of maintaining R22-based systems may increase dramatically and a plan for its early replacement should be in place NOW.

Earth Ducts

With this new approach for cooling and fresh air, savings can be made with the reduction in cooling load, capital cost and running cost.  Based upon a typical system, with fan coils and fresh air consuming say 220 kWh/m2, with Earth Ducts and re-engineering, the projected operating consumption could drop to 50kWh/m2.  Further savings can be offered with the use of energy recovery thermal wheels.

Electric Boilers/Oil Replacement

We are now able to offer electric boilers which are highly efficient and operating at COP of up to 4:1, i.e. 1 kW of electrical input providing 4 kW of heating.  The new generation will provide heating hot water up to 65˚C.  These are extremely suitable for the replacement of oil fired boilers.

Oil Boiler Replacement

Where boiler plant is inefficient new technology can be used.  Total Environmental Kooling working in conjunction with Calor and Sanyo, can offer a solution for heating and cooling, with hot water and also electrical power.  This is the ideal solution for Clients which have Oil Fired Plant with no gas, poor electrical supply and bearing in mind rising oil costs. 

With this opportunity especially in Hotels and Leisure Centres, the overall package would offer:-
